Blair Pennington
Blair Pennington is a documentary director, editor, and producer with extensive experience in social media marketing. She is currently working on a documentary about wildlife in Los Angeles while freelance editing and assistant editing for clients including A Starting Point, Google, and Pinterest. She is also a successful podcast and event editor, working on projects such as Drew Afualo's podcast The Comment Section and the annual AIDS Life/Cycle bike ride.
After graduating from the BFA News and Documentary program at Chapman University, Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, with minors in Entrepreneurship and Environmental Studies in 2018, she began creating short form videos for The Dodo. Soon after, she edited the feature documentary, "The Fan Connection" (dir. Mary Wall). Then, she coordinated social media for the independent documentary "Be Natural" (dir. Pamela B. Green). After that, she worked as a video producer and editor for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) and created content for PETA's social media sites. Her work has garnered millions of views and countless engagements.
She has directed four short documentaries and held various positions in the documentary industry from office management to distribution direction. Blair became interested in documentary filmmaking first through her love for animals and the environment and believes that film is the best way to communicate that passion and inspire others.
